Before the new toys descend upon your house this Christmas, let’s make room for them.
Go through the kids’ room, hopefully with them, and sort through their toys in 15-minute segments of time. It will probably surprise you how much gets accomplished.
Here’s an idea of what to throw out, give away, and organize the rest.
1-Throw Out
Broken toys
Toys or games with missing parts
Trash and empty boxes
2-Give Away
Toys they have outgrown
Toys they don’t like
Toys they don’t play with
3-Organize
Slide a bookshelf into the closet
Use plastic milk cartons stacked as shelves
Store games and toys with lots of pieces up higher
