Why I chose to start a business at 56
For over 30 years, I supported my husband’s career and wanted to do something for me when he retired. However, I also knew we would leave the military and probably wouldn’t live near a military base where I’d done most of my ministry.
My dream was to be an online Titus 2 Woman providing biblical coaching counsel for women in their homes through the phone, video, online, and social media.
Why women what to be a Mompreneur
These are a few reasons women offered about why they wanted to work from home and be a Mompreneur.
- They are deeply in debt, and her husband asked if she could work for a while until they paid off a significant amount of debt.
- They wanted to pay for their kids’ tuition at a Christian College or private school. Or they wanted to be around their children more.
- They were the primary breadwinner in their family, supplying the main family income, or didn’t like to commute or be around many people.
- They loved what they did, studied for it in college, or worked in the field before having kids. Maybe they just wanted some fun money.
- They had extra time and enjoyed serving others.
