How do we keep the romance alive in our marriages when we have kids or even after they’re gone?

Sharing tokens of our love and physical touch with simple sharing of affection keeps the romantic flames simmering. Think about what your husband would like and what would make him smile.

  1. Get him his favorite candy bar.
  2. Make reservations to a state park where you can rent a kayak or hike a trail
  3. Sweep the garage or vacuum his car
  4. Put a sticky note on the pillow saying, “I love you and I’m thinking about you”
  5. Text him a bunch of fun emojis
  6. Even when it’s busy, take time to hug him tight. That skin-to-skin connection is powerful
  7. Give him a really nice kiss for at least 10 seconds or more. Make it a good one that says I Love You.

BONUS—

Look him in the eye when you talk to him. Please try focusing on him for at least a few minutes daily.
