No Time for Bible Study
We often experience feelings of anger, frustration, and internal conflict. The Bible tells us to imitate God, but how can we do that if we don’t know Him or understand His teachings? We need to settle in our hearts and believe what God says, so we can do what we know is right. By talking with God and spending time with Him every day, we learn to follow His guidance.
No Time for Our Health
Controlling our words can seem challenging when we feel worn out, tired, or unwell. In moments like these, it is easier to become angry, fretful, and worried. When we prioritize our rest and wellbeing, we find it less difficult to speak words that build others up rather than spew harmful ones. Taking care of ourselves helps build the energy we need to care for those we love.
No Time for Your Husband
Frequent misunderstandings happen when we don’t spend enough quality time with our husbands. It’s important to set aside regular time to talk without the kids and to do a fun activity together several times a month. Treating our husbands like our best friends by being polite and forgiving them for what they don’t do brings out the best in them and us. When we meet our husbands’ needs, we often find that they respond by showering us with love in return.
No Time for Your Children
Arguments, backtalk, and fights arise when our children clamor for our attention and test their boundaries. Well-defined rules with appropriate consequences that can be readily repeated help our children feel safe. It’s important to take the time to listen when they talk, showing that we care deeply for them. Find time for family fun each week. Make the sacrifice and spend time with these precious ones God has entrusted to us.
No Time for Your Home
Mess causes stress. Our homes are where our families and we rest, relax, and play. Would Jesus feel at home living with you, or do you need to make changes in how you live? Here are a couple of tips: One – take two minutes and clear off the first place you see. 2- Make a weekly dinner plan and shop for your plan. Being organized and taking time to plan clears our minds and allows us to focus on the good things in our lives.
No Time for Yourself
Let’s not harbor bitterness or anger against ourselves. Instead, let’s renew our minds with the truth of how God sees us: His beautiful creation and precious children. That makes us infinitely valuable. By speaking words of encouragement to ourselves and forgiving ourselves for past mistakes, we will renew our spirits and experience greater joy.
Say “No” to the things that distract you from your priorities. Say “Yes” to God and the right path for your life.
