Can a woman be both a mother and an entrepreneur? They Can!

A mompreneur is a woman who runs her businesses at home while maintaining their role as a parent, wife, or homemaker.

Working from home, as we learned during COVID, combines the flexibility many moms and women need. They can earn extra money while they drive the kids to soccer practice or run to the grocery store.

Working from home isn’t new.

The Bible tells of women several women who form home. Pricilla worked with her husband Aquilla to make tens. Lydia was a single woman who sold purple lines. The Proverbs 31 Woman made clothing and belts to sell in the markets and sold real estate. (Acts 18:2, Acts16:14, Proverbs 31: 18,24)

Mompreneurs have the best of both worlds with built-in flexibility.

They:

  • Get to use their existing skills or combine talent and passion.
  • Spend more time with their kids and husband!

Do you have a desire or need to start a home-based business?

  • Maybe the income doesn’t stretch as far as it used due to inflation.
  • Maybe you love dogs or photography and want to make money around your hobby.
  • Maybe you’re an empty nester and dreamed of finally doing something for yourself. (That was me!)

Then you’ll want to check out Business Basics for the Mompreneur.
